Fields of Experience
Mr. Hoffpauir has experience in campus planning, golf course architecture, parks and recreation, urban planning, corridor analysis, industrial park design, land planning and destination resort planning.
While at The University of Texas System Administration, Mr. Hoffpauir participated in the design of three new campuses, The University of Texas of The Permian Basin,
The University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
In a design solution for the City of Austin, Helios Structures was commissioned to construct a fabric tension shade structure for an outdoor amphitheater and stage setting as designed by Corey Hoffpauir. This project won an Honor Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects.
Golf Course and Master Plan Projects:
Austin Country Club: Assisted Pete Dye on golf course routing in conjunction with the Master Plan for the balance of the property. The PGA Dell Championship is played at Austin Country Club. .
Barton Creek Country Club: Created property Master Plan and assisted Tom Fazio in the routing of the first golf course on the property.
Barton Creek Country Club Crenshaw Course: Assisted Coore & Crenshaw in rout ing of the second golf course on the property.
Dos Pueblos Golf Links, Santa Barbara, California: Routing and enviornmental permits for 18 hole golf course fronting on the Pacific Ocean.
Southern Hills, Tulsa, Oklahoma: Teamed with Coore & Crenshaw to add nine holes to the existing Championship golf course.
Shenzen Lolf Links, Shenzen, China: Traveled to China to identify resort sites in the Pearl River basin and created Master Plan and 36 hole routing.
Canyon Springs Golf Resort, San Antonio, Texas: Created 1600 acre Master Plan with 54 holes of golf, Hotel, Conference Center and pedetrian oriented village. Rough Hollow, located along the Pedernales River in the Texas Hill country is a 1200 acre master plan with Marinas, Hotels and Villa clusters. The golf course proposed 54 holes.
Jijel, Algeria: During tenure with Panorama International, created 54 hole golf course, 400 slip Marina, Cruise ship port and 8 hotels along the Southern coastline of the Mediterranean Sea.
Panorama International: The past 20 years. I have been a consultant to Panorama and the master planning has encompassed large scale resort cities as well as projects in the hospitality sector. The following is a brief selection of those projects.
Praia, Cape Verde Islands: A mixed use development on an abandoned island in the harbor was transformed into a Cruise Ship marina, mid rise residential and hotels. Playa Secreta, El Salvador: A 340 hectare property with 5 miles of ocean frontage. The proposal was a Cruise Ship port with numerous hotel sites and an 18 hole golf course.
Aquaviento, Merida, Mexico: Aquaviento was planned as a complete retirement and second home community of 1500 acres with a 50 acre lake as the centerpiece with hotels, condominiums, medical campus and an 18 hole golf course.
Elbow Beach, Hamilton, Bermuda: A 50 acre beach front property with one of the most iconic hotels in Bermuda. 15 acres of the property is a very successful resi dential product that will be expanded to a for sale product and the hospitality segment will be rebuilt and expanded to meet current market demands.
Blue Cove Resort, Senya Beraku, Ghana: A 1,170 acre site located on the Gulf of Guin ea. The components of this site will include a regional hospital, commercial center, beach front resort hotel and an 18 hole golf course.
Magdalena Bay, Baja Sur California: Magdalena Bay is conceived as a market driv en luxury development. The property consists of 1,500 waterfront acres with 14 miles of waterfront and beach frontage. A Cruise Ship port as well as several marinas will drive the development as it relates to the marine industry. This mixed use will have a cultural center, convention center, hospital, several residential types and an 18 hole golf course.
Casa Bay, Corazal, Belize: An ongoing 1,000 acre residential and hospitality develop ment on the Belize /Mexico border. The mixed use will consist of residential mixes of condominiums, villas, seaside single family, neo traditional neigborhoods and lagoon lots. The project is anchored by a small marina and a cultural center is placed around some Mayan ruins.
